(WOIO) - We saw the touching performance on Sunday's BET Awards. Now the talk is Chris Brown's comeback may have set him up for an Oscar.
An insider witness told UsMagazine.com that the R&B singer used eye drops to fake his cry during a tribute to Michael Jackson.
The source said that before going on stage, Brown's bodyguard gave him a bottle of tear-inducing eye drops, which helped the singer appear as he was crying during his performance.
Brown's rep has denied the accusations calling them "completely untrue". But, the witness assures that he saw Brown definitely use the eye drops, saying that he rubbed them in and started crying.
Brown has been trying to revamp his career after previously pleading guilty to domestic abuse charges for assaulting his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.
