CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - ESPN is reporting that LeBron James will announce the team he will sign with on Thursday night, during a one-hour special on the network.
According to EPSN's Chris Broussard representatives for James contacted the network requesting they be allowed to sell sponsorship for the one-hour special.
The proceeds reportedly will go to the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
This latest announcement is just another piece of the puzzle in the King's future.
LeBron became a free agent on July 1st, and a number of teams have stated their intentions to acquire the NBA superstar. The Nets, Knicks, Heat, Clippers, Bulls and the Cavaliers have all made pitches to sway the superstar.
Rumors suggest LeBron will not decide on a franchise until his basketball camp wraps up in Akron on Wednesday night.
The King did show up at his skills camp sporting a Yankee cap on Monday. The Knicks just got Amare Stoudamire to agree on a contract. Amare says he would love to get LeBron on board in the city that never sleeps. He says he will give LeBron a call.
Here's a look at LeBron's past few days as a free agent:

First up was the Heat.
Team president Pat Riley was joined by Heat owner Micky Arison, coach Erik Spoelstra and former Heat center Alonzo Mourning.
Riley's ultimate vision is to re-sign guard Dwyane Wade and also land free agent Chris Bosh and James.
After the Heat, it was the LA Clippers turn.
"We are perfectly positioned to engage this summer's free-agent marketplace and we have every intention of playing an active role," Clippers general manager Neil Olshey said in a statement.
"We are honored to be one of the select organizations to have been invited to meet with LeBron James and his team. At that time, we intend to present the many reasons why his joining our organization is the best possible choice he could make.
"Key among those reasons is our extraordinary nucleus of players. We have a core group in place which is made up of talented players at every position, a component which would prove attractive to any free agent."
The Nets entourage started their pitch for the King around 11am Thursday. The traveling party included new owner Mikhail Prokhorov, coach Avery Johnson, president Rod Thorn and hip-hop superstar Jay-Z, a part-owner and James' longtime friend.
They met with James for almost two hours.
After the Nets came the Knicks..the New York Knicks. The Knicks arrived shortly before 1pm at the IMG offices in Cleveland.
James Dolan's posse had plenty of equipment with them. They met for about two and-a-half hours.
Following that meeting Lebron retired to his home in Bath Township.
