(WOIO) - The four-year old Missouri girl who was abducted from her front yard Monday night has been found alive.

More than 25 hours after she went missing, Alisa Maier was found Tuesday night, 90 miles from her home in Louisiana, Missouri alone at a car wash in Fenton.

Police questioned the child and discovered she was the girl for whom the Amber Alert was issued. Her hair had been cut and her clothes changed at some point during her abduction.

Alisa was reunited with her parents and taken to a St. Louis hospital for evaluation. Police say she appears to be doing well and has been released from the hospital.

Police are now looking for the suspect and vehicle and are asking for the public's help. Witnesses describe the car as a black or dark brown four door with two distinguishing features. It had no hubcaps on the driver's side and a very loud muffler. The driver is a white male, possibly in his 30's.
