CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Crews were out this weekend removing the massive LeBron James "Witness" sign from the Sherwin Williams building located on Ontario Street.

The removal of the sign started Saturday morning and will take up the majority of the weekend.

This, after LeBron James turned his back on Cleveland to pursue what he seems to believe will be a quick and easy road to a championship with the Miami Heat.

The announcement was made Thursday night on an ESPN primetime special presentation that LeBron was "taking his talents to South Beach."

Friday night in Miami two-time MVP LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade...the "Three Kings" all sported their new Miami Heat jerseys at a pep rally. LeBron James told the crowd of more than 13,000 fans that "it feels right."

It may feel right to him, but to most Clevelanders... the decision was a direct slap in the face.

Saturday, LeBron sent a message to fans via his Twitter account KingJames saying "If u live your life on other people watch, u will always miss the moment that's put right in front of u!"
