CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections is kicking off the election cycle to elect the new county government. The Board of Elections is gearing up to conduct the elections that will place the candidates for County Executive and County Council on the ballot.
In preparation of the September 7, 2010 County Executive/County Council Primary and the November 2, 2010 County Executive/County Council General, the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections is holding a special event to recruit Cuyahoga County residents to serve as poll workers in the fall elections that will elect the new county government.
Applications are now being accepted for the September 7, 2010 County Executive/County Council Primary Election and the November 2, 2010 General Election. At least 5,400 Cuyahoga County residents will be hired to facilitate the voting process at 471 voting locations during each election. Election Day workers earn a minimum of $172.10.
The hotline for interested poll workers to call is 216-443-3277. It will be staffed until 9PM Tuesday night and then until all positions are full.
