ASHTABULA, OH (WOIO) - A man from Arizona is facing felony drug charges after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers seized three kilos of cocaine, valued at an estimated $300,000, during a traffic stop this past Saturday in Lake County.
Felix B. Exiquio was charged with trafficking in cocaine and possession of cocaine and possession of criminal tools.
Troopers stopped a 2002 GMC Truck with an Ohio registration for a speed violation on the Interstate 90 this past Saturday. Troopers observed criminal indicators and a Geneva on the Lake Police Department drug-sniffing canine alerted to the vehicle.
A probable cause search revealed three kilos of cocaine.
The 48-year-old suspect was incarcerated in the Lake County Jail. If convicted, Exiquio could face up to 21 years in prison and a $42,500 fine.
