First Merit bank Robbers on the Loose

AMHERST, OH (WOIO) - Amherst Police Department are searching for the man who they believed robbed First Merit Bank on Cleveland Avenue.

It happened Thursday afternoon.

According to police the suspect walked into the bank and handed the teller.

Witnesses say the man left the bank and ran north, across Cleveland Ave and toward the Olde Towne Pizza restaurant.

The amount of money she gave the crook is unknown.

The suspect is described as:

Race/Sex: White male

Height: Approximately 6'2"

Weight: Thin to medium build

Age: Approximately 40 years of age

Facial Hair: Mustache with goatee, darker hair

Clothing: Wearing a baseball style cap with logo on cap, dark in color long sleeve T-Shirt with writing on chest and sleeves, possibly dark in color athletic-style pants with white stripe going down legs (possibly described as "swishy"pants)
