Police in Phoenix have announced they've found a young girl who's been missing nearly her entire life.
The seven-year-old was still an infant when she was abducted back in 2003. At the time, she was in the custody of foster parents in Norwalk, California.
Authorities discovered the girl while searching a Phoenix home, and they say a woman was trying to hide the child, in a shower, under clothes and towels.
Investigators say she was scared, but in good physical condition.
Nobody at the house would comment, but a family friend - who refused to give his name - says the family never did anything wrong.
Police say the girl is not related to this family. Her true identity was confirmed through footprints, photographs and swabs of DNA.
The girl was flown back to California. It is not clear where she will be staying while in California.
