Troopers responded to a crash involving a 1982 Honda CB650 motorcycle driven by 31-year-old Scott L. Mussell and 2010 Chevy Traverse, driven by 40-year-old Penelope A. Murphy.

Mussell was westbound on SR302 when he traveled left of center while negotiating a curve and struck Murphy's vehicle head-on. He was transported to Samaritan Hospital in Ashland where he was pronounced dead, Mussell was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
