WILLOUGHBY HILLS, OH (WOIO) - Police in Willoughby Hills are on the look out for a motorcycle driver who crashed after fleeing from a traffic stop.

Cops pulled over 30-year-old Dwayne Champion at Chardon Road and Plaza Drive for speeding and failing to use a turn signal a little after 1AM.

Champion stopped and when police ran his license, a number of violations popped up. Several active driver license suspensions and active arrest warrants for weapons, drugs, violent tendencies and escape.

When officers told Champion, he freaked out, took off and wrapped his car around a tree in Richmond Heights.

Unfazed, Champion then fled on foot and police were unable to find him. A small amount of marijuana was located in the vehicle.
