CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A Cleveland cop accused of breaking his wife's nose during a fight showed his face in court Friday morning.
43-year-old Eric Roberts was, at first, charged with domestic violence in connection to the July 21st fight. Now, charges have been bumped up to felonious assault.
Roberts is a nine-year veteran on the police force and his service revolver has been confiscated. Officials will go to his home and confiscate his three personal weapons, which are locked in a safe.
Roberts is suspended without pay until the case is decided.
He is currently free after posting his $10K dollar bond.
