CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - If you owe money, you know how aggressive some bill collectors can be. A local collection agency accused of harassing consumers is finally paying up and in the process the company is working with the state to get out of Danielle's Doghouse.

19 Action News first started getting calls about NES, National Enterprise Systems, about two years ago.

"I started getting phone calls between 8:00 and 5:00 after 8:00 every morning, waking up me up out of a sound sleep. It was a month and a half. I think they were looking for someone with my husband's name. It was not him."

According to the Better Business Bureau about 1,000 consumers have called them and the Attorney General's Office about NES harassing them.

Victims say the company was calling people's relatives and work non-stop and co-workers and neighbors about their debts, all of which is illegal.

The person who sold them out was an ex-employee who did not want to be identified.

So are they still harassing consumers? Have their business practices changed?
