(WOIO) - The Higher Education Opportunity Act had another piece of its legislation go into effect Friday. This one will help college students save money on text books.
On the day a student registers for a class, they must be given a list of all the books they'll need for the class.
The old way was to given the list on the first day of class, meaning you were pretty much held hostage to buy your books from campus bookstores.
Now with advanced noticed students can use the Internet to shop around for the cheapest deals.
