CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - On Monday, August 9, 2010, the Central Avenue Rehabilitation Project continues between East 55th St. and East 79th St. on the north side of Central Ave.
During this phase of construction, all essential parking, as well as building and service entrances will be accessible. Westbound traffic will be maintained while eastbound traffic will be detoured south along East 55th St. to Woodland Ave., then east along Woodland Ave. to East 79th St., then north along East 79th St. to Central Ave., and then east along Central Ave. Detour signs will be posted.
This project encompasses 1.22 miles of Central Ave. including pavement rehabilitation and resurfacing; new curbs, sidewalks and driveways; drainage improvements; water main replacement; new traffic signals; and pavement markings. The construction cost is $2,528,004.27 and is funded by the Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC) and the City of Cleveland. This project is scheduled for completion in June 2011.
