(WOIO) - It was Mia Farrow's turn to testify at a war crimes trial at the Hague. The actress contradicted the testimony model Naomi Campbell gave last week about the receiving blood diamonds from an African warlord.
Actress Mia Farrow swore to tell the whole truth at a war crimes hearing at the Hague, but her version is a lot different than supermodel Naomi Campbell's.
Campbell denies she knowingly received so-called 'blood diamonds' from former Liberian warlord Charles Taylor.
Last week Campbell claimed she received some 'dirty stones' after a 1997 charity dinner in South Africa.
But she testified she had no idea who had sent them or even what they were.
Prosecutors say those pebbles were 'blood diamonds' Charles Taylor smuggled to fund Sierra Leone's civil war.
The supermodel said she DID give the DIAMONDS to a representative of Nelson Mandela's charity -- who has since handed the diamonds over to police in South Africa.
Naomi Campbell's ex-agent also took the stand at the Hague. Carole White says the model was excited about getting the diamonds, but disappointed when she saw them.
