Police officers' singing group performs at prisons

CLEVELAND (AP) - Police officer Clayton Harris says many people can't imagine why he would willingly go to prison.
But Harris and three other officers spend much of their free time traveling to prisons and juvenile detention centers around Ohio with their gospel singing quartet, His Divine Creation.
Cleveland police officer Calvin Cook says the musical group gives him a chance to extend his role as a law enforcement officer.
He says he goes beyond making arrests, and gets to work with the offenders.
Cook says he and Harris often run into inmates they arrested. He says in most cases, they're excited to see the officers.
Harris, Cook and the two auxiliary officers who round out the group started singing together at church. They formed His Divine Creation about 10 years ago and have recently released a CD.
