RTA Rail Station Closure

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - In order to replace a stairway, the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is temporarily closing the West 25th Red Line Rail station.

The one-week project is scheduled to close the station from August 11 through August 18. The Red Line will continue to travel through this location, but passengers will not be able to enter or exit through this station during the stairway construction project.

Customers who need to access this area of Ohio City have several other RTA alternatives available:

To West 25th area: Transfers can be made from the Red Line at Public Square/Tower City station to the following bus routes: #20, #22, #35, #79A/B, #81 or #51.

· The #20, #22 and #35 can be boarded on Superior Avenue at West Roadway.

· The #79A/B, #81 and #51 can be boarded on Ontario at Superior.

All of these will take customers to the W. 25th and Lorain area.

From West 25th area: Ride any of the following bus routes to Public Square and board the Red Line at the Tower City Station:

· #20, #22, #35, #79A/B, at Lorain and W. 25th

· #81 on Abbey

· #51 at Gehring and Lorain
