CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Parishioners of the "former" St. Emeric Catholic Church held a news conference Friday asking the Bishop to reconsider closing their church.
St. Emeric is one of the churches closed by Bishop Richard Lennon as part of a massive re-organization of the Cleveland Diocese.
Members have been appealing the Bishop's decision, but on July 30 they received a letter saying he would not change his mind.
That's not stopping the members. Once again they stand together asking the Bishop to reopen the church, restore their pastor and then hold a mass of reconciliation.
