UPDATE: CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A Cleveland Browns player accused of driving at twice the legal limit was in court Tuesday morning.

Gerard Lawson pleaded guilty to OVI, but the other charge of hit, skip was dropped.

25-year-old Lawson was arrested on Saturday, August 7th in the Warehouse District. Sheriffs Deputies say he hit a car and then left the scene.

Lawson must attend alcohol abuse classes and complete 20 hours of community service. His drivers license has been suspended for six months, but he does have work driving privileges.
