Exclusive: Community Service crook busted by undercover cops

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - The man accused of taking money from criminals in exchange for writing off their community service was sentenced to 2-years in prison Thursday.

Kucay, 63, of Cleveland, was employed by Transition Resource Services (TRS), which was one of the companies contracted by Court Community Service (CCS) for defendants to perform their community service. He took money from probationers in exchange for writing off community service hours.

Undercover police busted Kucay during a sting, the whole exchange was caught on their hidden camera!

19 Action News has learned that Kucay is a career criminal. In fact, his criminal record stretches all the way back to 1964 when he committed his first adult crime.

The Sheriff's Office conducted the investigation.
