Some of Laci Peterson's belongings removed from home

Modesto, Calif. (AP) - Some of Laci Peterson's belongings are back in the hands of her friends and family.

Friends of Peterson took several items today from the home where she and her husband lived in Modesto, California -- and quickly dispersed as the media arrived. It's not known if they had permission to enter the home. The items they took included a rocking chair.

Earlier, a representative of Scott Peterson's attorney had dropped off several of Laci Peterson's belongings -- all requested by Peterson's mother -- at her attorney's office.

Scott Peterson's defense lawyer Mark Geragos said earlier this week he had already worked out an agreement for family members to visit the home and remove some items.
