Deadly Love: Stone-cold husband calls 911, tells dispatcher he just shot his wife

OSNABURG TOWNSHIP, OH (WOIO) - Stark County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating an apparent murder-suicide that occurred late Monday evening.

Around 9:15 p.m. Monday, 51-year-old Daniel P. Lewton called the fire department and said he had shot his wife.

Dispatch: Emergency dispatch.

Caller: Ma'am I need a paramedic.

Dispatch: Okay I have the address as **** Neimans

Caller: Yep.

Dispatch: What's going on?

Caller: I just shot my wife.

Dispatch: Is she breathing?

Caller: Supposedly.

Dispatch: Where'd you shoot her at?

Caller: Whatever, just get somebody out here.

Dispatch: Okay, where are you at, sir?


Fire officials called Sheriff's Deputies and both responded to the couple's Neimans Avenue home.

MaryJane Silve-Lewton, 40-years-old, was found on the kitchen floor with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Lewton was still responsive and was transported to Mercy Medical Center where she later died.

Daniel P. Lewton was located on the upstairs stairway with an apparent self-inflected gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to Stark County's government website, Daniel P. Lewton was previously convicted of two D.W.I.'s and had also been locked up on weapons and domestic violence charges.
