Pittsburgh real estate firm acquires Cleveland company

PITTSBURGH (AP) - Howard Hanna Real Estate on Tuesday announced it has acquired Cleveland-based Smythe, Cramer Co., making it the nation's ninth-largest full-service real estate firm.
The acquisition of Ohio's second-largest real estate company was announced at a news conference in Cleveland. The new organization will have 105 offices and more than 3,000 sales associates and employees in Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York and West Virginia.
Howard Hanna III, president and CEO of Pittsburgh-based Hanna Holdings, becomes president of the combined firm.
