One dead, three arrested in Canton drive-by shootings

CANTON, Ohio (AP) - One man was killed and four men were injured in a drive-by shooting early Thursday, police said.
Three men were arrested shortly after the 2:30 a.m. shooting, Capt. James Myers said. They were expected to be arraigned Friday in Municipal Court on charges including aggravated murder or complicity.
Myers said he was not sure what the motive might have been. The shots were fired from a car, police reports said.
Jesse Rae Blankenship, 22, of Louisville, was pronounced dead at Aultman Hospital an hour after the shooting. Police reports said he was shot once in the chest.
Police said Jason R. Hashman, 21, and James A. Brady Jr., 34, were wounded and taken to Mercy Medical Center. A hospital spokeswoman declined to release their conditions Thursday night.
John M. Cordia II, 18, and Jason M. Payton, 19, were treated and released from Aultman Hospital, a spokeswoman said.
