CANTON, Ohio (AP) - Two teenagers died Wednesday in a three-vehicle accident on Interstate 77, the State Highway Patrol said.
The driver, Steven Moultrie, of Canton, and Paul Massello, of Bolivar, both 18, were killed when their car hit the back of a slow-moving truck that was spraying herbicide along the road and then slammed into a minivan.
The car flipped and landed upside down on the highway, killing the teens upon impact about 1:45 p.m., the patrol said. They were not wearing seat belts.
The truck was carrying a lighted arrow sign that directed drivers to move right to pass.
The crash sent the minivan off the road before it spun and ended up on the right shoulder. Two women and their four children who were in the minivan were not hurt.
Truck driver Mark Mullins of Grafton, suffered minor injuries.
