PAINESVILLE, OH (WOIO) - A Painesville judge hands down another creative sentence, this time to a couple that was charged with a first degree misdemeanor.
Judge Michael Cicconetti had a couple stand in a small pool of water wearing floating devices at a festival Saturday to teach them a lesson.
In April the couple took a raft out on the Grand River during severe flooding.
A ranger saw that they were in the water without any life preservers, but the couple lied about being out on the water when they made it to land.
In all, about nine departments searched for the couple that day.
The judge hopes this will teach them a valuable lesson.
