Wanted: Police search for man accused of shooting two bounty hunters

Cleveland Police continue to search for a man accused of shooting two bounty hunters during an arrest Saturday evening.

The double shooting happened Saturday around 9:30 p.m. at 16208 St. Clair.

Cleveland Fifth District police arrived on scene and were informed two bounty hunters were attempting to arrest Reginald Smith, 28 when Smith produced a handgun and shot both victims.

Yolanda Faison, 48 of Shaker Heights was shot in the chest. Reginald Wimberly, 53 also of Shaker Heights was shot in the rib cage. Both were transported to Huron Hospital for treatment, their conditions are unknown at this time.

After the shooting, Smith fled the scene eastbound on Wayside Avenue.

Police intel suggested that Smith may have been at a residence in the 800 block of Wayside Avenue. SWAT was notified and surrounded the home. Upon entry, Smith was not located inside. Sunday evening, Smith remained on the loose.

Cleveland Police tell 19 Action News that Smith was wanted on felony and misdemeanor warrants.
