CANTON, OH (WOIO) - A mom busted for child endangering after her six-year-old son brings a loaded gun to school.
Police tell 19 Action News the kindergartner brought the loaded 9mm to Gibbs Elementary on Wednesday.
The boy told a teacher his dad shot and killed somebody and buried him in the backyard.
Police went to the boys home on St. Elmo NE, and determined there was no shooting or shooting victim, and the boy's father actually lives out of state. The home, however, was filthy with animal feces everywhere.
The child's mother - 29-year-old Cassandra Holderness - is charged with child endangering for failing to keep a loaded gun out of reach of her young child.
If convicted, she faces 180 days in jail and a $1,000 dollar fine.
