Cleveland Police shoot a robbery suspect at a Wendy's Restaurant late Thursday night.
The shooting happened just before 10PM at the Wendy's on Pearl Road.
When officers arrived, they could see through windows that the robbery was still in progress. The suspects then ran out the back door.
Officers saw one of the thugs armed with a handgun, and told him to drop the gun. The suspect refused, and ran back into Wendy's.
One of the suspects then came out the back door again still holding the gun. The suspect, identified as Andre Spraggins, was ordered to drop the gun again, but still refused, and officers then shot him four times in his lower extremities.
No officers were injured.
The second suspect, a 17-year-old, was taken into custody without incident.
Officers then discovered a Wendy's employee had been shot in the shoulder.
Both Spraggins and the employee were taken to Metro for non life-threatening injuries. The employee has since been released, Spraggins is in fair condition.
