· Following Mass, a brunch for graduates, families and guests will take place in Connelly Center, NDC's dining hall
· 4:00 p.m. - Commencement in the Regina Auditorium, at the back of the former high school building at 1857 South Green Road.
Of 39 members of the senior class, 30 girls have been completing their senior year at Notre Dame College under a unique arrangement set up by the High School, the College, and the State. The program, Seniors at Notre Dame (SAND), has allowed the students to remain together while taking their high school classes along with other classes that could earn them up to a full year of transferable college credit.
To make this possible, the Ohio Department of Education issued Regina a one-year charter as a Grade 12 high school. Notre Dame faculty members who hold high school certification volunteered to teach a full year of English and a semester each of government and social studies, required by the state for high school graduation.
The College allowed the girls to pay the same annual tuition they had paid the previous year at Regina - from $5,000 to $9,000, depending on whether they received scholarships or financial aid. Notre Dame's annual tuition for undergraduates is $23,080.
