Two people arrested in downtown triple shooting

Two people have been arrested in connection with a triple shooting in downtown Cleveland early Friday morning.

According to police, around 2:34 a.m. officers in the Warehouse District heard gunshots coming from the area of West 3rd and Frankfort. Officers headed towards that direction and observed a large crowd in the area of the parking lots near John Q's and Club Allure. As they approached, they discover two males shot at West 3rd and West St. Clair.

EMS was called to the scene and third victim was discovered on West 6th Street.

All three victims were conveyed to MetroHealth Medical Center.

It is reported that a male victim, 30, suffered four gunshot wounds (2 to the mid section, 1 to the thigh and 1 to the elbow), another male, 21, suffered a single gunshot wound to the chest and the third victim suffered a single gunshot wound to the leg. His age is unknown at this time.

The immediate response of the Third District officer's identified two possible suspects, who have been arrested for Felonious Assault. Both suspects are Cleveland residents. Both suspects, one male and one female, are 25 years of age.

Commander of the Third District, Calvin Williams and the Division's Crime Scene and Records Unit also responded to the scene to assist with the investigation.

The subsequent investigation revealed that a verbal argument for unknown circumstances turned violent when one to the parties pulled and used a firearm.

The matter remains under investigation by the Third District Detective Bureau.
