Ohio University student accused of campus arson has been arrested

ATHENS, OH (WOIO) - Ohio University student Nathan D. Cencula, 20, a sophomore from St. Clairsville, Ohio, turned himself in to Ohio University police at approximately 3:50 p.m. Friday.

He was charged with aggravated arson, a first-degree felony,  in connection with a fire in the Brough House residence hall that occurred at approximately 2 a.m. on June 3.

No one was injured in the fire and damage was limited primarily to a first-floor lounge. Cencula did not make a statement. He was processed and transported to the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail in Nelsonville, Ohio, where he is to be held on a $10,000 bond.

An initial court appearance is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on June 6, 2011.
