Rogue monkey captured outside of Fremont Police Department

TOLEDO, OH (WOIO) - A rogue monkey who escaped from it's owner attacked two children in Northwest Ohio.

The Grivet monkey, about the size of a raccoon got loose in the Toledo area earlier this week.

Thursday, Fremont Police warned residents to keep their pets and kids inside because the monkey had already attacked and scratched two kids.

Late Thursday evening, the crazed monkey was captured by it's owner outside of the Fremont Police station located in the 1200 block of Sycamore.
