Driver charged after car slams into back of RTA bus injuring several people

Cleveland Police have cited a driver who slammed his car into the back of an RTA bus.

It happened Friday morning at approximately 7:44 a.m. at E. 49th & St. Clair.

Police say the bus was stopped, letting off a rider, when a white 1996 Chrysler LHS hit it from behind.

At the time of the accident there were six passengers on the bus. No one was inside the Chrysler but the driver.

Luckily no one was seriously injured but everyone was taken by EMS to MetroHealth Medical Center, to be checked out.

The driver of the Chrysler was cited for Driver Inattention and having Expired License Plates.
