Cleveland Police were called to Interstate 90 at the E. 22nd Street exit for a female struck by an auto just after 10 p.m. Saturday night.
Police say once on scene they found the victim, a 53-year-old female, who had suffered serious leg injuries. She was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center by EMS where doctors determined she had broken both of her legs.
After investigating, police say that a silver Cadillac was getting off the highway at the E. 22nd Street exit when for an unknown reason the female attempted to cross the exit ramp and was struck by the car.
The driver of the Cadillac, a 25-year-old male, did not report any injuries at the time of the accident. Police have not charged the driver at this time.
Police continue to investigate.
