Cleveland Police are investigating a stabbing on W.31st and Denison Avenue Sunday morning.
According to Cleveland Police, Gene Baisden, 47, of Cleveland was walking to a gas station located at W.25th and Denison when he was approached by a male he knew from the neighborhood.
The man walked up closely behind Baisden, prompting Baisden to ask "what do you want?" The suspect replied "what you got a problem?" then stabbed Baisden in the abdomen.
After the stabbing, the male looked and Baisden and laughed, tucked the knife in his pocket and took off on foot.
Officers arrived on scene and located Baisden, called EMS and had him transported to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5'9" tall and 24-years-old.
The incident remains under investigation at this time.
