Elyria family finds bullet in children's playroom

ELYRIA, OH (WOIO) - An Elyria family makes a disturbing discovery over the weekend.

David Hatcher called police after finding a bullet hole in the window of his Garford Avenue home.

One of Hatcher's children first noticed the hole in the playroom window Saturday night around 8:30PM.

Upon closer inspection, Hatcher observed plaster missing from an inner wall across from the window, then another broken window from where the bullet ricocheted.

Hatcher then found the bullet - which appears to be either a .32cal or .38 cal - in the window sill.

The family has no idea when the gunshot was fired, and has not heard anything unusual in the area as of late.
