Woman injured in accident on 480 that shut the highway down


A Ravenna woman was cited for causing a bad accident in Twinsburg Township.

It happened on I480 westbound, east of Darrow Rd near mile marker 39. 

Cops say the 38-year old was headed east when she swerved to avoid a deer and ended up crossing median and coming to rest westbound. Police say the car was airborn at one time.

Noone else was injured. Police say the driver was cited for failing to control her car, driving without a license and for not wearing her seatbelt. Alcohol and drugs were not a factor.

The driver, was lifeflighted as a precaution. Police say her injures are non-life threatening.
