Streetsboro shooting suspected arrested at Akron home

STREETSBORO, OH (WOIO) -

A early morning shooting in the city of Streetsboro.

It happened just before 4AM on David Drive.

The victim - 35-year-old Tracy D. Cresong - was transported to Akron City Hospital by lifeflight. No word on his condition at this time.

The suspect - 31-year-old Ronald L. Higginbottom II - was arrested hours later for attempted murder without incident at a home in Akron.

Cheryl A Cresong, 34, of Akron was also arrested and charged with complicity to attempted murder. Cops she assisted Higgenbottom in committing the crime.

Cheryl Cresong is the ex-wife of Tracy, and there have apparently been ongoing custody disputes over their children and other issues between the two.

Cops say the disputes were the motive for the shooting of Tracy Cresong.

The suspects are being held at the Portage County Jail and will be arraigned Thursday.
