PYMATUNING LAKE, OH (WOIO) - Pymatuning State Park Officials say that around 10 p.m. Saturday night, just as fireworks were wrapping up, a storm moved in causing the lake to go from smooth and calm to waves of 2-3 feet in an instant.
Hundreds of boats were on the water watching the fireworks when it happened.
A 14-foot Runabout boat with four people on board capsized.
State Park Officials say other boaters rescued the boaters and brought them to shore.
No one was seriously injured.
Another sailboat was also in distress after losing its rudder. The boat was towed to shore safely.
