CANTON, OH (WOIO) - Canton Police are investigating the double shooting of a mother and daughter this weekend.
Friday evening around 8:45 p.m., two women were found shot in the head in a vehicle in the area of Market Street South near the U.S. Route 30 overpass. A passerby located the women, both conscious at the time and called police.
According to reports, both victims were shot in the head at close range.
The victims were identified as Shannon Crolley, 27, and her mother Doris J. Hoagland, 56, both of Tippecanoe, OH.
Crolley was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland via LifeFlight where she was listed in good condition Sunday evening.
Hoagland was transported to Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio. No word on her condition was available Sunday.
The Stark County Jail confirms that Aaron M. Oester, 18, of 2228 Seventh Street N.W. turned himself into his parole officer at the Ohio Adult Parole Authority in connection with the shootings around 1:35 a.m.
Oester was charged with two counts of attempted murder, aggravated robbery and having weapons under disability. He was booked at the Stark County Jail and held on a $2.1 million dollar cash bond.
Oester has prior aggravated robbery convictions in Stark County.
