Lawsuit filed against Cleveland Police for death of tasered man

A federal lawsuit has been filed against Cleveland Police for the death of a man tasered repeatedly.

Rodney Brown, 40, died on New Year's Day.

Brown's family attorney David Malik says his client was stopped by Cleveland Police for a minor traffic violation, he was reportedly driving at night and didn't have his head lights on. Police say he resisted so they tasered him, multiple times.

The civil rights attorney claims officers used excessive force among other arguments. Brown complained he could not catch his breath and later died at University Hospital.

Malik says police ignored cries from Brown that he couldn't breathe.
