Akron Police ask for public's help locating bank robber

AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

Akron Police requests the public's help in locating Michael Irashavelle Johnson, 36, with a last known address in Cleveland, Ohio.

Back on January 6th, Johnson entered the Charter One Bank, located at 1165 East Waterloo Road, jumped the counter, had his hand in his pocket as if he had a gun and demanded money.

Johnson took money, jumped back over the counter and fled the bank northbound through the wooded area.

Responding officers located a black coat and blue ski mask, that Johnson was wearing during the robbery. The clothing was sent to the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation for DNA testing. The DNA profile matches that of Michael Johnson and detectives have signed warrants for Aggravated Robbery on Michael Johnson.

Michael I. Johnson is a black male, 36, 5'6", 150 lbs., with braided, black hair and a mustache.
