Three people involved in Lake Erie jet ski accident, two injured

DOWNTOWN CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Cleveland Police and the U.S. Coast Guard were called to Edgewater Park for a water rescue Saturday evening.

According to Cleveland Police, a jet ski crashed into another jet ski around 9 p.m. near the Edgewater Park pavilion.

Three people were involved, two were injured. A male and a female were on one jet ski when it collided with another jet ski with a male driver.

The male on the first jet ski suffered an injury to his arm and his female rider was pulled from the water and resuscitated by the U.S. Coast Guard. The second male on the other jet ski was reportedly uninjured.

The male and female injured were taken by EMS to MetroHealth Medical Center.

The accident and investigation is being handled by the U.S. Coast Guard and the Ohio Watercraft.
