Prison time for the man who put a bomb in a Northfield Village Police Officer's car

NORTHFIELD VILLAGE, OH (WOIO) - A Garfield Heights man will spend the next four years in prison, for putting an explosive in a Northfield Village Police Officer's personal vehicle.

On May 20, Justin Fillinger, 25, placed an M1000 explosive on the wheel of the car, which was parked at the Northfield Village Police Department.  Fillinger lit the explosive's fuse and ran, but the fuse burned out before igniting the bomb. The explosive was equivalent to a quarter to a half stick of dynamite.

Fillinger pleaded guilty to Attempted Aggravated Arson, a second-degree felony, and Inducing Panic, a fourth-degree felony, on November 16.
