Food Wars: Ice Cream July 14, 2011 at 12:35 AM EST - Updated June 24 at 5:15 PM Another food wars battle tonight and this time it's summer style. It's time to chill out for a bit and get ready to lick the bowl. We are on a mission to find the best ice cream in northeast Ohio! First stop: Mitchell's in Rocky River where the homemade happens. Two brothers opened this shop 12 years ago and are really about perfection with their 50 or so very guarded recipes. "It's just like really sweet and it's like the best thing I ever tasted," said Lexi Jonesco. From there we head to East Coast Custard. They've been at it for 26 years. "Old fashioned texture, flavor, brings you back to when you were a kid," said Shannon Kuharik. "It's the best ice cream in the world. Nothing can compare to it," said Chris Roufael. But you had the final say in who won the ice cream battle. And the Winner is.... East Coast Custard in Parma Heights 64% Mitchell's in Rocky River 35% Copyright 2011 WOIO. All rights reserved.
