Kent State basketball player arrested after incident with ex

KENT, OH (WOIO) - Portage County Sheriff David W. Doak announced the arrest of 20-year-old Jarekious D. Bradley.

Bradley, who is from Memphis, Tennessee, currently attends school and plays basketball at  Kent State University.

During the early morning of Wednesday, July 13th, a call was received by Portage County Dispatch from a woman advising that Bradley had entered her apartment without permission. Upon entry, Bradley demanded money from the victim that Bradley felt she owed him. While attempting to remove money from the victim's purse, a physical altercation took place between Bradley and the victim resulting in physical injury to the victim. Several other subjects were present at the time and did provide money to Bradley resulting in him leaving the residence.

During the investigation it was learned that Bradley is a former boyfriend to the victim, but they were no longer seeing each other.

Later on July 13th, contact was made with Bradley at which time he was taken into custody without incident.

Bradley has been cooperating with Detectives from the Portage County Sheriffs Office in their investigation. Bradley has been charged with one count of Aggravated Burglary, and one count of Criminal Damaging.

Bradley is being held without bail at the Portage County Justice Center.
