Three defendants were indicted Friday for failure to pay child support. The losers owe a combined $72,855.47 in child support. The charge of criminal non-support is a fifth degree felony which carries a maximum sentence of one year in prison. These indictments are a result of a joint investigative effort by the Cuyahoga County Child Support Enforcement Agency (CSEA) and the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office. Arraignments for the following defendants are scheduled for July 18, 2011.
- Rodney Potts, 36, of Cleveland, was indicted on two (2) counts of criminal non-support. He owes $12,325.28 for his 16-year-old child. Five hearings were held in Juvenile Court between 2000 and 2010. The last voluntary payment was made on April 4, 2011, in the amount of $230.00.
- Tamika Saddler, 32, of Cleveland, was indicted on two (2) counts of criminal non-support. She owes $6,710.62 for her 10-year-old child. Three hearings were held in Juvenile Court between 2006 and 2009. No payments have ever been made on this case.
- Adam Ziegler, 32, of Brunswick, was indicted on one (1) count of criminal non-support. He owes $18,033.69 for his 8-year-old child. Two hearings were held in Domestic Relations Court between 2009 and 2011. The last voluntary payment was made on April 4, 2011, in the amount of $400.00.
