Akron woman offers license official cash in exchange for passing grade on driving test

AKRON, OH (WOIO) - An Akron woman slapped with charges after trying to bribe a Driver's License Exam official with cash in exchange for passing her on the driving portion of her operator's license test.

26-year-old Mariam Kromah is charged with bribery.

On July 15th Kromah entered the Barberton Driver's license Exam Station and prepared to take her driving test, which was being administered by a driver's license examiner.

Prior to the test, Kromah offered the examiner $90 in exchange for him issuing her a passing score on the test.

The investigation revealed Kromah had failed the driving portion of her test on three prior occasions.

If convicted, Kromah could face up to five years in prison and a fine of $10K.
