Copley Township hammered by heavy rain

COPLEY TOWNSHIP, OH (WOIO) - Heavy rains caused early morning flooding in Copley Township.

Due to flooding, the intersection of Copley Road & St. Michaels Avenue will be closed until the water receeds. Police are asking that drivers please avoid the area.

Other roads that are closed, include Hametown and Spruce Run Road. Several streets are covered with water, including Kibler, Twin Creeks and Briggler.

The chief is telling residents in the Little Farm subdivision to leave their homes because of the water. Streets in that subdivision include Springfield and Knox.
